On July 25, Jaku Konbit proudly celebrated its 25th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening filled with community spirit, powerful reflections, and joyous celebration. The event brought together community leaders, families, youth, elders, and supporters from all walks of life to honor Jaku Konbit’s incredible journey of empowerment, education, and service over the past two and a half decades.
The night featured inspiring speeches, cultural performances, music, art, and delicious food—all celebrating the rich tapestry of the African, Caribbean, and Black experience in Ottawa. Attendees were reminded of the vital work Jaku Konbit continues to do, from supporting youth and seniors to building strong families and fostering leadership within the community.
