Young & Bold Kids CEO Camp

Building Young Leaders, One Business at a Time

Welcome to the Future of Black Business

Young & Bold: Kids CEO Camp is Ottawa’s first culturally-rooted entrepreneurship bootcamp created specifically for Black and racialized youth. Spanning 3 impactful days, youth ages 12–18 will step into their own leadership journey, explore what it means to own a business, and walk away with the confidence and skills to launch something real.

This is a movement, not just a program. It seeks to incite in young participants the power of imagination, the tools to build, and an appreciation of community. Whether your child has a business idea or is just exploring possibilities, this camp will ignite their potential.

Why This Camp Matters

Black children and youth are bold, innovative, and full of talent, but less often see themselves reflected in business spaces. According to recent national studies:

  • Only 2.6% of Black youth report having access to entrepreneurship mentors.
  • Less than 5% of youth-focused entrepreneurship programs in Ontario are culturally tailored.
  • Nearly 70% of Black teens say they want to start a business, but don’t know how.

Jaku Konbit is stepping up to change that. With 25+ years of youth development experience, we are launching a camp where culture, business, and confidence merge.

What Youth Will Experience

  • Discover the power of entrepreneurship
  • Learn how to turn an idea into a business
  • Build a business plan, budget, and brand
  • Use AI and social media to market like a pro
  • Learn from Black entrepreneurs, mentors, and CEOs
  • Pitch their idea in front of a panel and win prizes!

Camp Mission

To empower Black youth to lead in life and business by building their confidence, creativity, and critical thinking, while giving them practical tools to design, fund, and grow their very own businesses.
